News (world news and Philippine news) is always part of my morning thought after waking up. I don’t totally read all the pages of Inquirer.net and Yahoo home page news. In fact I only read headlines few paragraph due to morning rush hours. However today (this was last Tuesday, but haven't finish my article hehe), I felt a sudden gloom after reading the column “Davao BUS Blast killed 6” report. Not again... the bomb is planted in a mobile phone which killed 8 and has left 30 plus wounded oh no...

From the time I gained social consciousness, the word Mindanao sounds the home of terrorist for foreigners already. Shit huh?

I have grown up in a beautiful place Island Garden City of Samal IGACoS and it’s such a dwelling place with the white beaches, warm people and green environment. I also gained my education in the neighboring place, DAVAO CITY, a very big and enriched with natural resources city. I can really pronounce that DAVAO is beautiful and wonderful.

Do you crave for fresh, tasty and cheap fruits?? How about fresh and beautiful flowers?? How about rainforest?? You can have it all in Davao. Apart from the natural resources of Davao alone, the neighboring towns that complete Mindanao are even more scenic. The Maria Christina Falls in Iligan, the beautiful and famous Island Camiguin, the colored vinta of zamboanga and its famous sotanghon, the Surfing spot of Surigao also known as the home of King Crabs and Prawns. There are a lot to see and experience in Mindanao yet it is more famous as the the home of the terrorist (Danger zone) of the Philippines. The home of freaks and stupid warriors.

In Brunei, the famous Makati is the most talked of my students. It is a place in the Philippines they were so amazed with. But they have not explored the other beautiful places of the Philippines. A lot of instances that many Bruneians asked me same question “Orellie, which part in Philippines do you come from?” and of course I will say Davao City, if they don’t know Davao City I need to mention Mindanao. And you know what? Although it is in a form of a joke but they will tell me “are you a member of Abu Sayaff”. We don’t want to go at your place, we better stay in Manila. See? As a grown up in Mindanao, it pains me because there are so many civilians in Mindanao like me and probably you who wants Mindanao to be known as beautiful, awesome, wonderful and all those adjectives that should supposed to be thought by people not the WAR ZONE area where kidnappings are rampant, military assault against Abu Sayaff is constant, bombings and a lot more..

Is there a hope for Mindanao? I can’t forget the 2 consecutive DAVAO bombings in the airport and seaport, I have even few friends who became victims. Many civilians suffered because of what? conflicts? politics? money? power? I don’t understand. Sayang lang kasi ang Mindanao nasisira ang GANDA.

Moments… moments… moments… sometimes, it’s good to be insane after the hard works within the weekdays considering the pressure, the rush hours, the morning alarms, sleepless nights OMG a lot indeed, that’s why we always look forward for the weekend to come and that people call it TGIS (THANK GOD IT’S SATURDAY).

Last 23 August 2008 (Saturday), arose celebrated her 27^th Birthday. I thought it will be a boring night coz we just eat, entertain the guests, look after the BBQ and the chicken was burned bwahaha… The night started to become bubbly when the guests started to leave having only a few left whose motives of coming i

s not just eating but throwing what they’ve eaten (I’m one of them hahaha). When the guests are gone, we go out and search for “BOTE” and luckily we found Mr. Smirnof so we bought 2 liters. When we came back to the party place, ayun naghihintay na ang mga UHAW hahaha… all of us were thirsty and that’s why w/o further ado we initiate to raise the ROOF “TAGAY NA”. Well, since I had a cough then so I get my own glass. Istill care though. I don’t want others to be drunk and get infected with my virus at the same time, that’s too much for them to bear the next day bwahahaha…

To my surprise, Kuya Drew also brought yet another liter of Absolute Vodka oh man… we finished up 3 liters and there were only 8 of us drinking?? Oh no…(grin) What is good about drinking vodka is that, there's no hang over the next day. I don’t know for others, but for me yes, I got no hang over or maybe because I threw it out??? nagtawag ng UWAK si AUNTIE LENG bwahahaha… OMG… Messing up huh?

Last night, I slept late at around 3:20 am (GMT +08:00) and I was drank from the previous night though haha.. (TGIS [Thank GOD it’s Saturday], it is suppose to be my blog entry today but I’m a little busy to add up spices with this article so next time around hehe…) I sleep late because of work pressure deadline…deadline…deadline I have to meet my deadline today and I made it that’s why I’m free enough to write this.

Oh well, I’m so used to stay up late at night until morning like I’ll sleep latest by 6:00am and then woke up at 7:00 am? Hahaha 1 hour sleep then goes to work from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (12 hours straight huh?) that is long hours man. How can I survive within the day staying at the office conducting classes in the morning and evening yet my stamina is still very high? Oh well (NO DRUGS PLEASE hahaha) let me tell you my secret… But beware KIDS do not try this at HOME hahaha….

Well this is how I overcome the dropping eyes, and headaches at the office…

I was sick yesterday, I hate to see a doctor coz I know that the prescription will be heavy, I don’t want to take many pills as though it heals yet it makes me weaker. Nonetheless if I don’t see a doctor, my boss would not consider my absence as a sick leave as but she will deduct it to my annual leave instead. (Oh no I have only 8 days left and I want to maximize it on December 2008… Hello BABAK see you this Christmas hohohoho… if this will be materialized, then it would be my first Christmas in my Hometown ISLAND GARDEN CITY OF SAMAL, PHILIPPINES since I left Philippines last 2004 to seek better prospect. Wow that was 4 yrs ago man… there’s no place like home huh??I'm supah excited...)

Back to the topic, kinda astray with that…well, it feels good if u don’t work but ur suppose to work u know hehe it's just that I fought with my illness and stress haiii life is so exhausting really, what the HELL yeah?

What is good thing about being sick is our willingness to stand up and fight the VIRUS that wants to rock our day. Furthermore, we are willing to fight because we are aware that our life is meaningful for others that we are not useless assholes, that someone needs us, someone love us and care for us… and I know that tis not only ONE but many…

It’s good to live knowing the value of your life, knowing the purpose of it although we are not perfect to totally abide what we are meant to do as GOD gave us choices even so, I’m overwhelmed with joy if I may want to cry now, I will just cry because I’m happy crazy huh? Hahaha.. tears of joy though not crocodile tears hahaha…

KEEP ON LIVING PEOPLE COZ AS WE JOURNEY THROUGH LIFE WE WILL MEET MANY UNEXPECTED UPS AND DOWNS. IF YOU FALL, NO MATTER HOW WHAT, WHY, WHERE AND WHEN?? JUST STAND UP AND WAVE… CGE NGA, KAW NGA…? HAHAHA… LIFE IS ABOUT FALLING DOWN AND STANDING UP… MATIRANG MATIBAY…
